GERMAN’S WARNING
HITLER’S INTENTIONS. a divideF NATION. (United Press Association-—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received July 11, 1.35 p.m. . . LONDON, July 10. "Behind Herr Hitler’s peace speeches war is being prepared. Germany’s warlike preparations are much further advanced than is generally supposed,” asserted a German speaker at the Trade Union Congress, whose name it was thought undesirable to announce. He added: “It should be emphasised that there is a difference between the German Government and the German people, who do not want war, although the war psychology is being cultivated, accompanied by a description of the French as enemies. Hitler’s peace means slavery for all peoples. A man who oppresses his own people and locks them up has no right to speak of peace.” , ~ He added that the age limits announced for mobilisation were being exceeded. Documents existed showing that workers over the age of 45 had war equipment.
