APPLES AND PEARS
VALUES IMPROVE. Received Julv 13. 10.10 a.m. LONDON, July 12. Although there have been considerable arrivals of apples and pears during the week, traders arc retaining as many as possible in cold store in view of the approaching end of the season. Unfortunately, the bulk of the arrivals are fully matured, necessitating immediate sale. Prices, however, have improved slightly, as the supply of strawberries has almost ended.
