SHEEP FOR JAPAN.
BUYERS’ INSTRUCTIONS
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, July 3.
The first shipment of sheep for Japan from Dunedin was taken aboard the Sydney Alaru to-day, consisting of animals collected froin Canterbury, Balchitha, and Taieri, 2Jo in a ll. This is the foilrth shipment from New Zealand, the others being from Lyttelton. x , The forwarding agents stated that orders had been received from the Japanese buyers not to release information to the Press. It would seem that the buyers do not wish to attract attention to these buying operations for breeding lest the New Zealand farmers become afraid of losing their wool markets.
