TRUNK AIR SERVICE.
NEW PROPOSAL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 2. A tlirec-liour connection between Wellington and Auckland with stops at Palmerston North and New Plymouth is proposed under the timetable drafted by Union Airways Ltd., for a license for the Minister of Transport (Hon. R. Semple). Though the make of the machine is not yet announced, it is probable that the company will employ twin-engined aeroplanes of modern design equipped with blind-flying instruments, radio equipment and all other up-to-date aids to safe flying. Each machine will carry two pilots and from six to eight passengers. The company has made formal application for a license.
