NAIL REMOVED FROM-,, LUNG. Received Juno 26, 9 a.m. PHILADELPHIA, >Juno 25. Kelvin Rogers, aged 3, of Melbourne, twelve months ago swallowed an inch and a-lialf nail, which lodged in his right lung. As the nail could not be removed in Australia, the boy was taken to Philadelphia, where he has successfully undergone an operation at the Temple University Hospital. The operation was completed in seven minutes with a bronchoscope. Kelvin Rogers, and his mother arrived yesterday and were met by a Y.IV.C.A. secretary and Philadelphia representatives of the International Institute. They left immediately for the Temple University Hospital. Mrs Rogers said that the child' had enjoyed the voyage and felt well. He had put on weight and had “quite outgrown his clothes during the trip.”
