ALL SAINTS’ HOME.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of All Saints’ Children’s Home was Held on Monday evening, Rev. Canon G. A. )\ oodward presiding. ing, Rev. Canon G. Y. Woodward presiding. 'Phe report was presented by Canon Woodward as follows, and was adopted:—“lt is with the deepest gratitude to Almighty God that we present our thirtieth annual report, and in doing so we are mindful of all tho blessings that have been vouchsafed to us during the past thirty years. This year a very real and permanent help lias been given us by the will of the late Mr T. R. Moore, who has left us £1 a week for life. Wo again wish to thank the Macarthy Trust for £165, and the Diocesan Social Service Board for £39 18s Gd. We find it impossible to mention by name all our good friends, but we ciin tell them this, without their help wo could not continue our good work. The matron, Mrs Bain, returned from her trip to England in February last, and her well-earned holiday lias benefited her health considerably. We much regret that Mrs L. A. Abraham, the mother of tho home, is, owing to ill-health, unable to take an active part in the management of the home. Wo all miss her. There are 30 children in the home, and we are glad to report they are in the best of health. The names of the ladies’ committee committee were as follow: Miss R. Whyte (secretary), Mrs H. G. Bagnail, Mrs Martin, Mrs A. E. Manifold, Mrs Phillips, -Mrs Hugh Akers, Mrs N. Blackmore, Airs G. Y. Woodward, Airs C. Keeble, Airs Frank Robinson, Mrs T. |{. ALoore, Mrs Field, Airs Nicliolls, and Miss K. Owtrasm. The officers of the board: President, the vicar of All Saints’; vice-presidents, the church-wardens of All Saints’, Veil. Archdeacon Petrie and Air Pringle; treasurer, Air H. G. Bagnall; iion. secretary, Mr C. H. Haudley; trustees, Messrs Martyn Abraham, N. Blackmore, G. C. Keeble, W. F. Lewis, A. E. Alansford, the late Mr F. Owtram, All- R. Waghorn, Rev’s. H. L. B. Goertz, H. Whitby James, and H. S. Kenney. Our thanks are due to Air H. G. Bagnall for his untiring zeal as treasurer, and Mr C. H. Handley for his secretarial work, also Mr Martyn Abraham, honorary solicitor; Air Penny auditor; Alias Owtram for collecting tile boxes, and Dr Ward for medical attendance. We look forward to the sympathy and help of our many friends, and we feel-with that we slnill be able to carry on this Christ-like work.’' Tho financial statement, which was adopted, revealed that the liabilities had been reduced to £240, and the assets were valued at £7289 Gs.

The treasurer (Air Bagnall) reported that a cheque for £149 16s had been received as a legacy from the solicitors of tho late Air E. Owtram, and appreciation of this was expressed. Colonel J. H. Whyte and Air L. Callis were elected to fill the vacancies on the board caused by the departure of Afr W. F. Lewis from the district, and the death of Mr Owtram. Rev. F. S. Ramson, of Terrace End, and Rev. Mr Burgin. of Foxton, will replace Rev. H. Whitby James and Rev. H. S. 1. Kenney, formerly of Terrace End and Foxton, respectively. A resolution was passed recommending to the incoming trustees that it was desirable to acquire further land for the future extension cf the hoard’s activities.
