MODEL ’PLANE.

POWERED WITH PETROL MOTOR

FLIGHTS AT MILSON. A model aeroplane, built bv two members of tbe Wellington Model Aeroplane Club, Messrs Ombler and Baker, was given its initial test flights recently in the area adjacent to the Milsou aerodrome. With a wing span of eight feet and a length of seven feet, the model is powered with a Brown Junior motor of one-fiftli horsepower. The 15in. propeller turns over at 7000 revolutions. The first test on the ground for adjustment was very successful. On the first flight it took off and circlet] once for 20sec. The second time it took off and climbed to 40 feet, making two circles over the field, and came in for a good three-point landing with 45sec in the air.
