VETERAN SOLDIER.
AUSTRALIAN’S DEATH. Received June 13, 1.20 p.m. SYDNEY, June 13. The death has occurred of Mr Richard Watkins, aged 81. He saw active service during the Great War iand was, it is claimed, the oldest member of the A.I.E. He enlisted in 1915 at the age of 61. His statement that he was 44 was never questioned.
