YESTERDAY’SBUSINESS AND . PRICES. Business was very brisk on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday, and the turnover showed a considerable increase on that of Monday and Tuesday. The markets were generally firm, the main feature being a further sharp rise in Broken Hill Proprietary, and a gain in Australian Glass. The former sold to 73s 3d, a gain of 4s 3d during the last week. The new issue, 10s paid, moved up to business at 495. Buyers stayed in at 73s for the fully paid and were offering 49s lid for the new issue. Australian Glass advanced to sales at 93s and 92s 9d. G. J. Coles were steady at 79s lOd, and Hume Pipo had business at 19s fid. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
