STEAMER DELAYED
DISPUTE ON MAORI. Per Press Association WELLINGTON, May 27. The departure of the inter-island steamer .Maori for Lyttelton "was delayed over half an hour last night owing to trouble with the crew. It is stated that one man was aggrieved because he alleged that ho had been spoken to rudely by an engineer, from whom he demanded an apology. As this was not immediately forthcoming the crew held a meeting to discuss the matter, the ship and her passengers being held upMeanwhile the affair was finally adjusted to the satisfaction of the crew, and the Maori departed at 8.25 p.m., 40 minutes late.
