CO-OPERATIVE GUILD
ADDRESS ON PEACE,
Blrs O. E. Niederer presided over the fortnightly meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the BVomen’s Cooperative Guild, which was held in the Y.BBYC.A rooms yesterday afternoon. There was a. good attendance. Mrs C. Anken was elected to the committee to fill the vacancy caused by the forthcoming departure of Bins J. BlcLeod for BYellington. It was decided to place on record appreciation of Mrs BlcLeod’s services, not only as a guild member, bat also as a. member of the co-operative movement since its inception in Palmerston North. Bliss P. Hindle, secretary of the Y.BV.C.A., gave an address on “Peace,” . reviewing A. A. Blilne’s Wok, “Peace With Honour.” She recommended those present to read it. Bliss Hindle stressed the value of cooperation in this cause, and the great part women could play. There was a discussion at the conclusion of her address. On the motion of Blrs R. J. Boyd, a vote of thanks was accorded the speaker.
Atternoon tea was served bv Mesdames BB’. Cantlon and Ait ken.
