MISHAPS TO DOCTORS.

ONE SERIOUSLY INJURED. BLENHEIAI INCIDENT Per Press Association BLENHEIM, May IS. Saturday evening was unlucky for the medical profession in Blenheim, two doctors through different causes sustaining injuries for which they are still receiving attention, while a third from Nelson, had a narrow escape from injury when making a special trip to attend one of their Blenheim confreres. The most serious experience was that of Dr. Russell Adams, of Blenheim, who received painful ,and possibly serious, injuries to the right eye when a mental patient lie was attending became violent and struck him a powerful blow. In tact, the doctor’s glasses were shattered, one piece of glass becoming embedded in the eye, necessitating attention by an eye specialist from Nelson. Dr. Adamsjs condition this morning was as satisfactory as could be expected The eye specialist, Dr. L. A. Lewis, bad an eventful trip front Nelson. AVlien on the AVangamoa Hill a fall of earth occurred in front of the car. Both the doctor and driver were occupied for an hour in clearing a track. While they were working there were several further falls, making their task dangerous. The third mishap of the evening occurred at the Lion's Back, on the highway south of Seddon, when Dr. P .J. Fogarty, of Blenheim, was proceeding to attend a country patient. Kis car skidded over a bank, rolling several times and being completely wrecked. Dr. Fogarty escaped serious injury almost miraculously. He was confined to bed for the week-end.
