CHAIN OF ACCIDENTS.
IN AMATEUR PLAY. A remarkable chain of casualties accompanied the presentation of “The Three Musketeers” by the Croydon (London) Stagers, a local amateur socioty, the Grand Theatre, Croydon. In fact, things became so serious that a doctor stood by in case of further accidents. rl „ ~ . , The attack which the Ibree Musket€Crs make oil the Comte de la Rocheforte, played by Mr W P. Dobson, was so realistic that Mr Dobson s throat was gashed by a sword. Other members of the cast received cuts on their noses, hands, and legs. Mr Bobby Norman, one of the principals, was picking up an article from the stage, and a man, playing the part of a guard, stooped to assist lnm. the "uard’s heavy steel helmet fell off and “truck Mr Norman on the head. Mr Norman was rendered unconscious and two doctors had to be called.
