HOROWHENUA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, May 15. Mr IT. Carmont lias entered the Palmerston North Hospital for treatment. Mrs Mclntyre, sonr., is at present on holiday in Otaki, and in the guest of Mm Bennett, of Waercnga Road. Mr and Mrs Chas. Beauchamp and Miss M. Gardner arc at present the guests of Mr and Airs H. L. Beauchamp, “Summerdale,” To Horo. The death occurred at the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday of Mr Hohopa tc Kootu. Deceased,' who had been in indifferent health for some time, was 59 years of age, and at one time was a well-known footballer. He leaves a grown-up family. For some years Mr Tc Kootu farmed at Te Horo.
