SPEED ON HIGHWAYS.
MINISTER’S PROPOSALS. WELLINGTON, May 16. A conference ot representatives from counties,! municipalities, motor transport organisations, the Main Highways Board and the Public Works Department is to be held in Wellington next Friday to discuss the proposal recently put forward by Hon. R. Semple (Minister of Transport), to allow greater maximum speeds for heavy-traffic vehicles. The limits which the Minister is proposing are as follow : Pasngr. Goods
