OBITUARY.
MR W. HINCIIEY. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, May 16. The death lias occurred of Mr William Hinchey, chairman of the South Island Rower Board, aged 71. Born in Invercargill, ho had a long lecoid of public life. He was several times Mayor of Bluff and chairman of the Bluff Harbour Board and was tor several years chairman of the Power Board and had held many other public offices. He unsuccessfully contested the Wallace seat against Mr Adam Hamilton at the last election. He was the author of the book, “Commercial Civilisation.”
