MARRIAGE OF MONKEYS.
The ceremonial . “marriage” of a pair of monkeys, with all the ritual of a Hindu wedding, was conducted at Surat by a Sadlni (Hindu ascetic) “in response to inspiration. lhe male monkey is supposed, to be a descendant of the monkey-god Hanuman. Thousands lined the streets to watch the marriage procession. Both the monkeys wore costly costumes and sat in a decorated motor ear.
