REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION.
DISCUSSION OF RULES. The weekly meeting of the . Alanawatu Rugby Referees’ Association was held on Friday, Mr E. W. Low being in the chair. Others present were: Alessrs A. Neville, A. Weston, C. Pinfold, L. G. Berry, G. Cooksley, J. Burgess, H. Hands, C. Eglinton, J. Pinfold, C. Woodham, L. J. Plank, A. Ward, C. Taylor, and J. H. White (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Alessrs F. Petre, J. W. Smith, It. Aluiira, J. O’Keefe, G. Duthie and H. Hughes. The chairman reported that, the Alanawatu Rugby Union had decided to issue complimentary season tickets to the association’s appointment board. It was decided to bold a meeting at Feilding, when the Oroua and Rangitikei Associations would be invited to attend, also referees from Te Kawau. The rules touching the knock-on and scruniamge were discussed, also the report of the delegates to the Imperial Conference. Air R. M. AlcKenzie consented to address the association next week.
