Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 13. At the sitting of tho Supreme Court, to-day, before Mr Justice Kennedy, William McKean was found not guilty on a charge of breaking and entering the Waiwera Service Stores and stealing a quantity of tobacco, cigarettes and other goods of a total value of £8 19s 6d; also with tho theft of goods and with receiving them knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. Alexander William Robinson and his son, John William Robinson, were charged (1) with having on January 27 stolon 73 lambs valued at £153 Os, tho property of Robert Loclihead ; (2) that they received tho lambs from some person or persons' unknown well kn owning them to have been dishonestly obtained; (3) that they conspired to defraud some person or persons then unknown by a letter to Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd., representing that John Robinson was entitled to sell the lambs; (4) that they obtained by false pretence from Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd., a cheque for £56 11s 6d on the pretext that J olin Robinson was entitled to sell 73 lambs consigned to Addington. The elder Robinson was charged with (5) having received from John William Robinson 73 lambs well knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained, and John Robinson with (6) having with intent to defraud obtained goods valued at 14s 9d and £55 15s 3d in money on the pretext that he had a good title to a cheque for £56 11s 6d drawn by Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd. The jury returned a verdict of guilty against both accused on the first, third and fourth counts, and a verdict of guilty against John William Robinson on the sixth count. Prisoners were remanded for sentence till Friday morning. CHRISTCHURCH, May 14. In the case against lluebena Shirley, whose trial commenced yesterday on three charges of illegally using an instrument, accused was found not guilty on the charge in respect of Mrs Hill (who died) but guilty on two charges affecting other women. She was remanded for sentence.
