FATAL ACCIDENT.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 14. Knocked down by a motor van while crossing Pitt Street last evening. John Piddell, aged 70, a resident of Point Chevalier, died in hospital this morning from serious head injuries, including the loss of the left eye.
