DEAD SAILOR’S MESSAGE.
Received April 23, 1.10 p.m. LONDON, April 22,
A seaman’s last message written while the steamer Saxilby was sinking 400 miles out in the Atlantic in November, 1933, with all hands, was washed up on the beach at Aberavon a mile from his home. The message was in a cocoa tin and was found by fishermen digging for bait. The message adresses Ins sisters, brothers, and widow'. It was taken to' the seaman’s parents, who identified the writing.
