CUSTODY CASE. Received April 23, 1.50 p.m. LOS ANGELES, April 22. The whole complexion of the Freddie Bartholomew custody case suddenly cha.nged again to-dav when documents were received which the attorneys 6aid withdrew the support • of the boy’s father from the side of his mother and threw it in favour of his aunt. Cecil Bartholomew, the father, in a cabled affidavit declared that the criticism of Myllicent Bartholomew' (the aunt) was based on a misunderstanding which is now removed. “Deponent has complete confidence in Myllicent Bartholomew, and feels that the interests of the minor will be best served by leaving his control in the said Myllicent Bartholomew’s hands subject to co-operation with deponent.”
