The motto for the dav was: “A new broom sweeps clean.” Mrs Pinfold and Mrs Cunninghame were elected as delegates to attend the council meeting. Mrs Perry was appointed competition steward for the year. A very interesting letter was received and read by Miss M. Smith from the link institute in Harefield, Middlesex. After the business had been transacted, a little time was taken up in play-read-ing. which caused amusement. Mrs Webster then gave a vocal item, which was much appreciated.
