THE DAIRY BOARD.

CHANGES FORESHADOWED

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 23. Following consideration l»y representatives of the Dairy Board and Ministers during the past few days, it appears likely that the Dairy Board as at present constituted will be abolished and replaced by a Producers’ Board of five members. The question will be further examined at a conference of dairy producers at Wellington next Wednesday, Altliougn no details are available, it is believed that at this conference the producers will be called on either to elect four new representatives or retain the four members of the Dairy Board elected last year. Indications are that tbe present producers’ representatives will be retained and that Mr C. A. Marchaut will remain as the sole Government nominee. The membership of the existing Dairy Board is as follows: Government nominees.—Messrs C. A. Marchant, of Stratford; C. P. Agar, of Christchurch, and W. A. lorns, of Martinborough. Producers’ representatives: Messrs A. J. Murdoch, chairman, of Whangarei; W. E. Hale, J. Dunlop and A. E. Linton.
