(From Our Own Correspondent.) COLYTON, April 7. The final inter-club tennis match for the season was played on Saturday on the Colyton courts with Aratika. The visitors proved the winners by 15 sets and 128 gained to 9 sets and 97 games. -Detailed results of the games are as follow. Aratika players mentioned first: —Men’s singles: C. Burr lost to S. At the function arranged by the Colyton Cricket Club to celehrat.e their winning of the Guthrie Shield in the Feilding Cricket Association competitions, reminiscences of the cricket days of £5 years ago were recorded bv. .Air Fitzherbert. and Air W. Power (club captain) detailed the activities of the club during the last 15 years, stating that. it was the sorond occasion on which -the Colyton Club had been successful in the shield competitions. The last was the first year the shield was donated, 15 years ago. The Colyton Club had the honour of being one of the oldest in the district and in two years’ time they hoped to celebrate the jubilee.
