MAUNDY MONEY.

DISTRIBUTION BY THE KING. SEVENTY-ONE RECIPIENTS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 9. King Edward.went to Westminster Abbey this morning, and, in accordance with the century-old custom, distributed Maundy money to old persons of both sexes. Though only 42 aged men and women, corresponding to his age, should have received MaunSy money at Westminster Abbey, the King ordeied -eventy-one recipients as if his late father * had been there; says a London message. Similarly, the pence have been increased to seventy-one, in addition to 90 shillings each in lieu of clothing and bread.
