Mr J. A. Nash (president of the Manawatu Bowling Centre) has been advised by Mr L. McNabb (secretary of the Wellington Bowling Centre) that a party of 12 rinks from the Wellington Centre will be making a return official visit to Manawatu Centre on the 25th inst. It is hoped before the above date that the number of rinks will be incieased. Mr E. Bissell, of Hastings, has entered for the Easter tournament. Mr W. Smith, of Auckland Club, has also entered a rink for the Easter tournament. The following letter from the New South Wales Bowling Association has been received "by Air A. F. Wimsett, secretary of the Manawatu Centre :- “My council directs me to convey the thanks and appreciation of the New South Wales Association to your president, yourself, and the members of your \ centre who so kindly and generously catered for the enjoyment of the New South Wales party which recently visited New Zealand. Glowing reports are to hand from all the members to whom I have since spoken of the wonderful time spent in your centre, and they are looking forward to the time when they will liawe an opportunity of reciprocating in some measure on the occasion of a visit by a New Zealand team to New ' Sour.. Wales.”—-Signed C. G. Stuart, secretary. Mr Allan Willis, of the Cambridge Bowling Club, who is visiting Palmerston North, enjoyed a game of bowls on the Palmerston North green yesterday. Five entries have been received so far for the veterans’ tournament. There will probably be 12 rinks entered by the date of closing. The five, entries comprise three rinks from Northern Club, and two from Dannevirke. PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. On Saturday, four rinks from the Palmerston North Bowling Club will journey to Feilding to engage the Oroua Club in a friendly match. A rink will arco attend the Mnnawatu Bowling Club’s gala day on Saturday and will be: Waters, Brown, Mowlem, Bary (skip).
