PHOENIX HOCKEY CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Phoenix Hockey Club was held on Tuesday, Mr E. Bids presiding over a full attendance. The annual report and bal-ance-sheet were read and adopted. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Hon. M. Briggs; president: Mr C. S. Lawson; vice-presidents, sa.me as for last year with the addition of Messrs N. Y r . Ballinger, W. B. Crump, E. Watson, T. Coates, F. Oliver and A. Cooksley; delegates to annual general meeting of the Manawatu Hockey Association, Messrs V. Turner and K. Burne; delegate to the Manawatu Hockey Association, Mr W. Lundy; secretary, Mr V. Turner; club captain, Mr W. Lundy; field captain, Mr K. Burne; management committee, club captain, field, captain, secretary and Mr T. Packer. It was decided to have the club colours the sa.me as last year. The matter of a club coach and subscriptions was left to be discussed at a later date. A gift was made to Mr B. Palenski for the use of diis shop as a meeting place for the ~'club. ■ During the meeting, hearty votes of thanks were accorded Messrs Palenski and C. S. Lawson for valuable services rendered during the past season.
