AUSSIE RA’S CUP. PASSION FLOWER SCORES.

Per Press Association. lIAWERA, Feb. 12. Tho Egmont mooting opened in ideal weather with tho track in good order, and a splendid attendance. The totalisator handled £13,329, as compared with £11,437 last year. Results: — OHAWE HURDLES, of £l2O. One mile and a half. 3- KAOLA, 9.11 (C. Thomson) 1 5-5 COUNT WILLUNYX, 9.0 (R. C. Milos) 2 2-2 RUAFORM, 10.9 (A. Jenkins) ... 3 Also started: 1-1 Tudor 11.5, 6-6 Careful 9.0, 4-4 Sir Ronald car. 9.1 s (fell). Three-quarters of a length; two lengths. Tudor was fourth. Time, 2.48 1-5. From a straggling start Tudor began smartest to load over the first fence from Count Willonyx, Kaola and Ruaform. Sir Ronald moved up on tho outside and was going well three lengths in front when he fell five furlongs from home, leaving Tudor and Count Willonyx together in front of Kaola and Ruaform. Ivaola ran past Count Willonyx with half a furlong to go, and won by three-quarters of a length. FLYING HANDICAP, of £IOO. Six furlongs. 2-2 FRIESLAND, 7.10 (H. N. Wiggins) 1 4- LADY KYRA, 8.7 (R. W. Courtega led out from Miss Hushabye, Refresher and Lady Kyra, with Litnulus next. Courtega and Miss Hushabyc entered tho straight on terms just clear of Friesland and Refresher. Friesland took charge at the distance, and although Lady Kyra finished solidly sho was unable to roach Friesland by a length. Limulus was a good third and Miss Hushabye close up fourth. TOKAORA HACK HANDICAP, of £IOO. Six furlongs. 2- SOLARIA, 9.4 (R. W. McTavish) 1 6- ADVANCii PLANE (H. Callahan) 2 3- DOMBEY, 8.3 (L. H. Clifford) ... 3 Also started: 1-1 Erebus 8.2, 4-4 Silver Wings car. 7.10, 5-5 Silvanus 7.0. Two lengths; a neck. Silvanus was fourth. Time, 1.16 4-5. Tho hack sprint was tho best of good things for Solaria. The lightweights, headed by Silver Wings, made play to the straight, where Solaria moved through them and won running away. Advance Plane just held on for second money from Dombcy, who was followed by Sylvanus and Erebus. EGMONT CUP, of £250. One mile and a quarter. 5- AUSSIE RA, 8.0 (J. Alchemic led out from Broncy, Tahurangi, Lowcnberg and St. Clara, and there was practically no change until half a mile from home, the lost three horses being Aussie lta. Hunting Cat, and Fersen. The field bunched as it turned into the straight with Gay Broney, Aga Khan, Tahurangi, and _ Might most prominent. Tahurangi and Might were fighting it out at the distance when Aussie Ra challenged and went on to win nicely from Tahurangi, with Might three-quarters of a length away third, and Ferson a close fourth. JUVENILE HANDICAP, of £IOO. Five furlongs. 1- ORATORY, 9.5 (B. H. Morris) ... 1 22 CLESSAMOR, 8.4 (L. IL. Clifford) 2 6- GOLDEN ANNE, 7.8 i , , (L. H. Backers had to lay odds on Oratory in tho Juvenile Handicap, but they were never anxious about the result. She ran into the load quickly, and soon had her opponents flat out. Clessamor and .Dietmguished followed her into the straight, and Clessamor hung on best, but had no chance with the winner. Golden Anne was a poor third, just beating International and Master Limond, and then came Distinguished. NOLAN CUP, of £2OO. Nine furlongs. 3-3 PASSION FLOWER, 8.4 (R. Reed) 1 2- TAUMAU, 8.11 (P. Burgess) ... 2 5- WINDSOREEN, 7.12 (S. Anderson) 3 Also started: IT Oncwhetu 8.12, 4-4 Ingenuity car 7.5, 7-6 Abbey Feale car 7.3, 6- Bonny Glow 7.5. Two lengths; three lengths. Ingenuity was fourth. Tune, 1.54 2 5. Abbey Feale was first out from Passion Flower, Taumau and Onewhetu. Taumau then took charge, but, moving up fast, Windsoreen actually hit tho front crossing the top from Taumau, Ingenuity (wide out) and Abbey Feale. Taumau led into the straight from Windsoreen, Onewhetu, Ingenuity and Passion Flower, and the latter shot through fast to challenge Taumau at the distance and win comfortably. Windsoreen just beat Ingenuity for third place. WHAREROA HANDICAP, of £125. Eight furlongs and a half. 3- BEAU GALLANTE, car 8.6), (C. Thomson) 1 2- FULL THROTTLE, 9.3 (S.
