ACTIVITY IN AEGEAN
RHODES HIGHLY FORTIFIED. Received February 12, 12:40 p.m. ATHENS, Feb. 11. One thousand Italian airmen have arrived on Loros Island in order to reinforce the Italian fleet in the Aegean Sea. Rhodes is encircled by wire barriers and all roads are fortified. 'The air force is co-operating in naval submarine manoeuvres. Tlie local waters have been mined.
