Received January 21, 10.10 a.m. BLOEMFONTEIN, Jan. 20. Tlie Australian cricketers defeated tlie Orange Free State by an innings an 146 runs. They declared their first innings closed at four for 361 and the home side, who made 88 in the first innings, made 127 in flic second. .McCabe reached his century in 105 minutes and O’Brien in 195 minutes. Barnett, after shaping well, pulled a ball on to his wicket. Richardson made merry and batted for only 33 minutes. • The slow bowlers had the better of the batsmen throughout. Viljoen, butting patiently, held up bis end for a long time. Eventually hitting out rashly, be mishit a spinning bull from iGrimniett and Oldfield did the rest.
