Mehlhorn and Cox tied with 286 for the first-prize money in the annual Sacramento 3000-dollar golf tournament.
Among the Australians Kelly and Cohen failed to qualify for the final two rounds. The others were not in the money. Their scores were: Bolger 296, Richardson 297, Ted Naismith 301, George Naismith 304.
