DOMINION NAVY.
NEW CRUISER. (Times Cables.) • Received January 18. 12.55 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 17. The. Times naval correspondent says the arrangement made to replace the Dunedin and Diomede by cruisers of the Leander class begins to become effective when the Acuities will shortly be commissioned as flagship in succession to the Dunedin. The list of officers required lor volunteer service on loan to New Zealand was published in the Fleet Orders today. The writer points out that New Zealand will thus obtain faster, stronger and more modern ships. The •Achilles will carry the first ship-borne aircraft to have served in the New Zealand Division.
