(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Sept. 27. Mr and Mrs Gawler, of Taiunaranui, have been spending a holiday at To Horo. Mr H. G. R. Mason. M.P., is at present the guest of Mr and Mrs L. G. Lowry. Mi- and Mrs J. Pilcher and family left for Woodvillo yesterday, where they intend to spend a short holiday before proceeding south. Mrs Herbert Bright, who has been a resident of Otaki for many years, left to-day to lake up her residence at Parapatauinu. but will ultimately settled in Wellington. A meeting of tho Otaki Bowling Club was held last night, Mr J. McGill pro 3iding. A letter was read from the centro asking the club to nominate a day or days for tournament purposes so as to allow a list to be circulated. It was decided to reply that a tournament will be held on February 29. Invitations to attend the openings of clubs were received from Thornton and Porirua.- —It was decided to be represented at the' openings. It was agreed to open the season at Otaki on October 26. During the past few days ice has been noticeable on water at Te Horo, the degrees of frosi registered being eight on some days. >
