INSTALLATION OF BEACON. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright.) Received September 28, 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 28. It is reported that Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd., is negotiating tor a site in the vicinity of Mascot aerodrome to instal at its own expense the first aerial radio beacon in Australia, having a range of a hundred miles, and able to give direction to aircraft equipped M-ith the usual receiving apparatus and radio-telephone apparatus. The Civil Aviation Department is co-operating in the selection of a suitable site. ’
