UNDER ARREST.
. MEMBERS OF CREW. Received September 27, 1.10 j>.m. - VANCOUVER, Sept. 20. Thirty-one members of the crew of the Wairuna were arrested and. charged with desertion after leaving the vessel following the refusal to furnish steam because the vessel was unloaded by non-union men through the longshoremen’s strike. The men requested deportation by the immigration officials, but the police acted on warrants sworn by the .captain. The officers and stewards remained aboard.
