UNITED STATES ACTIVITY. REPORT TO BE MADE. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received .“September 2/, 12.55 p.m. HONOLULU, Sept. 26. Mr William T. Miller, superintendent of the airways bureau ot the Department of Commerce, returned from Kingman’s Reef in the coastguard cutter Itasca .to-day. He indicated that this or Palmyra was suitable for an airways base between Honolulu and Pago Pago. He will proceed to Washington soon to report on colonisation by Americans of Howland, Baker and Jarvis Islands in the same area as the aeronautical camps. The six Hawaiians who were relieved recently returned at the same time. , . Mr Miller reported that flying weather was excellent between Honolulu and Samoa throughout the year. An aeronautical survey was available to Pan-American Airways. Mr Coman is meeting Mr Harold Gatty on Monday* to arrange a possible visit to the islands.
