Am grounded.” Then it stopped abruptly The Scarborough and Flamborougli lifeboats put out in a heavy gale and were unable to reach tho Skegness. Five life-lines fired by the rocket apparatus were all blown back and the sixth fell right over the Skegness, but no one secured it.

The Skegness was pounded to pieces on the rocks and all eleven members of the crew were drowned.
