ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY.
CONCERT PRESENTED.
There was a very appreciative audience at the Parish Hall, last night, when the Feilding Orchestral Society presented another of its concerts, the first for this season. Without being ultra-classical, there was sufficient or the work of the masters in the programme to indicate that this talented body of musicians had a thorough appreciation of high-class music, the execution of the selected numbers being all that could be desired. Assisting the orchestra were several well-known vocal and instrumental artists, all of whom received the recalls of the audience. The vocal artists were Miss Blanchette (mezzo) and Mr Whitelock (baritone), while Miss N. Hausmann was again heard in masterly fashion in ’cello solos. The instrumental quintette, Mrs J. G. Eliott, Mrs A. B. Farmer, Mrs C. S. Jeffs, Miss B. Eliott and Mr A. B. Farmer, delighted in their presentations. The concert was enjoyable from every point of view.
