PROGRESS OF NEIV BILLS. § The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. One week’s leave of absence was granted Sir IV. Hall-Jones on account of illness. The following Bills were received from file House of Representatives and read the first time: —Ohai Railway Board Amendment, Wellington City and Suburban Water Supply Amendment (both referred to the Local Bills Committee), Rabbit Nuisance Amendment, Shipping and Seamen (Safety and Loadline) Conventions.
