TEETOTAL DRINK.
SUGGESTION TO BAND OF HOPE
Received September 25, 11.10 a.m. LONDON. Sept. 24. Sir Henry Coward, the musician, urging the Band of Hope Union to finance the quest, prophesied that a fortune was awaiting anyone inventing a teetotal drink with a “kick,” something which would give a glow and create a feeling of warmth.. He said: I am sure the chemists can. Let us risk £SOOO anyway. Dr. C. W. Saleeby suggested a mixture of carbon dioxide and oxygen.
