COWDREY FAMILY.
RETURN HOME
After spending several, weeks, recuperating from the devastating explosion which wrecked their home, Mr and Mrs F. Cowdrey and family, of Halcombe, returned to their reconstructed home on Saturday. Of the shattered timbers and debris which was all the explosion left of the once neat little dwelling, nothing remained to remind the returning occupants of the experience they had been through, the work of reconstruction carried out under the supervision of Mr T'. Collins (Mayor of Feilding) being complete in every detail. Through the generosity of the public subscriptions tho house had been equipped and furnished throughout while, with kindlv forethought, the ladies of the Cheltenham Women’s Institute had filled the shelves of the pantry with supplies for the family. Both Mr and Mrs Cowdrey were deeply moved by the. generous interest which had been shown in them and their family.
