CENSURE MOTION LOST.
POLITICS IN NEW SOUTH WALES. SYDNEY, Sept. 13. Mr J. T. Lang’s censure motion against the Government was defeated on a party division by 44 votes to 26. Mr Tiling, Leader of the Opposition, moved a motion of no-confidence accusing the Government and particularly the Premier, Mr B. S. Stevens, of exercising nepotism ill providing jobs and contracts and failing to carry out unemployment relief promises. Mr Stevens, in reply, said that Mr Lang’s criticism, as usual, was full of inaccuracies and was misleading. He challenged Air Lang to repeat his charges in the witness box, and also invited Mr Lang and his party to try for onco to co-operate with the Government in improving the lot of those in search of work.
