PAIIIATUA, Sept. 13. j At the monthly meeting of the Prcsbv- b tcrian Ladies’ Social Guild Mrs M. Pater.son presided over a good attendance of members. Regret was passed at .Mrs Warren’s illness and the secret ary was instructoil to write a letter of sympathy. Arrange- 1 moots were completed for the annual church tea to lie held in October. An amusing /■ competition, dressing a pig. was won by j Mrs A. J. Fairweather. Afternoon tea was ' served by Misses L. Dick and A. Ilender- ‘
son. . : Mr J. B. Tulloch, formerly of Paluatua, » lias been re-visiting flic district. Messrs .1. ; G. Swainson and J. O’Sullivan have been * participating in golf tournaments in ’ Hawke’s Bay during the past week. Mr A. D. Donald, of Pahiatna. who is enjoying a tour of England and the Continent, sails for New Zealand on his return on September 19. Mr W. R. Taylor, of Kohinm, is on. bis way home now.
