BILLIARDS.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 13. The last day’s play in the professional billiard contest saw AlcConacliy strike consistent form, to reduce his deficit and win by 704 points, the scores being:—McConachy 12,32/, Lindrum 11,623. McConachy assumed the lead during the afternoon session with a number of breaks near the 200 mark, and drew away steadily, in the evening’s play to make victory sure.
McConachy produced a wide variety of shots, but Lindrum gave a pooldisplay, passing the 100 only three times during the day.
