POLITICAL FEUD.
ST; LOUIS SHOOTING. ST. LOUIS, Sept. 11. A political shooting closely resembling the Huey Long assassination occurred at St. Louis to-day when two local officials, one of the city and one of the State, and two police officers were wounded in an affray with pistols at the Town Hall. It was the first violent outbreak of a long-smouldering political feud here. Four politicians, members of groups opposing and supporting the city administration, began a quarrel in the Town Hall office of the Democratic city committee and all four drew pistols and began firing. Some of the combatants fled, pursued bv the others. Firing as they ran, the combatants raced across an open plaza which was crowded with passers-by. Two policemen who interfered were shot for their pains. Their wounds, however, are not serious.
