REMOVING DOUBT.
DESTRUCTION OF RABBITS. WELLINGTON, Sept. 11. A doubt has been raised as to the powers of rabbit boards to purchase for the purpose of re-sale direct to farmers, poisons such as strychnine, phosphorus, carbon bisulphide, and ether goods such as ammunition for the destruction of rabbits. To remove this doubt the Minister of Agriculture (Mr C. E. Macmillan) introduced into the House of Representatives to-day a Bill authorising rabbit boards to so deal in such poisons, being poisons "within the meaning of the Poisons Act, 1934, or such other goods, and validating the acts of rabbit boards in so dealing in poisons or other goods in the past.
