McCREADY BEATS LABRIOLA. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Sept. 12. McCready’s octopus dcathlock won him a wrestling bout here to-night against Labriola. In the first round the Italian did all the attacking, McCready remaining cool. In the sixth and deciding round the famous hold was applied and after 30 seconds’ application Labriola gave in and was unable to continue. JAGET SINGH BEATS HOPKINS. Per Press Association. DANNEVIRKE. Sept. 13. The slipping of a cartilage in his knee, the result of the application of the Indian “death look” in the fifth round, disabled the English wrestler Hopkins, who was unable to continue the bout with Jaget Singh. He was carried to his corner. It was the first local professional match this season.
