STEAMER DELAYED.
TROUBLE OVER CREW. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 12. Delay has occurred in the departure of the Union Company’s intercolonial cargo steamer Kairanga, which was scheduled to sail for Wellington on Wednesday. The articles under which the crew oias engaged expired on the arrival of the vessel at Auckland on Monday. Changes in the personnel of the crew were to be made, but members of the old crew who were to be re-en-gaged declined the offer of employment unless all the original crew were signed on. An effort has been made over the past few days to obtain a crew, blit without success.
