FATAL FALL OF EARTH.
Per Press Association. NAPIER, Aug. 26. Thomas Sweetings, aged 35, married with one child, was killed by a fall of earth at Petane this morning. He was working on a Public Works Department piece-job. The slip was seen moving and others got clear, but deceased fell and the debris fell all over him.
